Ulster Heights Vintage Postcard - Lake Lawn View

Ulster Heights Vintage Postcard - Lake Lawn View

From: Ulster Heights General

$5.00

This restored vintage postcard features a lonely black and white photo of an empty two-person wooden swing with trees and a lake in the background. The caption reads "Lake View from the Lawn, Ulster Heights, N.Y."

Postmarked July 23, 1908 in Ulster Heights, it was addressed to "Master Harry M. Starr 24 Hawks Ave. Ridgewood N.J." with an enthusiastic message: "Wish you + Dorothy were here. I'd give you a big swing + oh: I'd hug you alright. Hope we'll see you before you leave. Love Aunt Rose"

The empty swing looks a bit eerie, but Aunt Rose's affection is undeniable! When you send this postcard, will you promise big hugs and swings, or let the mysterious mood speak for itself?

The image of the original back is shown here for historical interest only. Your postcard will arrive with a restored blank back, ready for you to pen your own message to a friend or family member.
