Ulster Heights Vintage Postcard - Ulster Height Lake
From: Ulster Heights General
In this restored vintage postcard we see a view of Ulster Heights lake with grass and logs in the foreground - no people, just peaceful nature. The twice-misspelled caption reads "Ulster Height Lake" - Ulster Height, N.Y."
Postmarked August 2, 1907 and addressed to "Miss Edna Markle Mettacahouts(?) Ulster Co. NY." A short message was originally scrawled on the front: "From Cousin Edith" (removed during restoration).
Cousin Edith appears again! This is one of several postcards we've found from the prolific Cousin Edith, whose messages were always brief and to the point. When you send this postcard, will you channel Edith's minimalist style, or elaborate a bit more?
The image of the original back is shown here for historical interest only. Your postcard will arrive with a restored blank back, ready for you to pen your own message to a friend or family member.
