Ulster Heights Vintage Postcard - Fishing On The Lake
From: Ulster Heights General
This restored vintage postcard features three jaunty young men perched perilously on a rowboat fishing on a lake. The caption reads "Fishing on the Lake, ULSTER HEIGHTS, N.Y."
The postmark is difficult to make out, but appears to be from July 1914. It was sent to "Miss Helen Blauwell Hillsdale N.J." with a message that quips: "Dear Helen: Am having a fine time at Ulster Heights, although I don't engage in the occupation pictured on the other side. Ethel."
We love Ethel's dry humor - clearly she had better things to do than balance on a boat with the boys. When you send this postcard, will you add your own witty disclaimer, or let the image speak for itself?
The image of the original back is shown here for historical interest only. Your postcard will arrive with a restored blank back, ready for you to pen your own message to a friend or family member.
