Ulster Heights Vintage Postcard - Lake And Falls
From: Ulster Heights General
This restored vintage postcard features a black and white, grainy photo of a young child in a coat holding something - maybe a small pet? - in front of a lake and waterfalls. The caption reads "LAKE & FALLS, ULSTER HEIGHTS, N.Y."
Postmarked July 14, 1924 in Ellenville, it was addressed to "Mr. + Mrs. R. N. Spence(?) 3336 Decatur Av. New York N.Y." with a message that insists everything is fine: "Dear Sis + Bro. Arrived here O.K. and having a fine time. Will write later. Love Mother + Bee"
The gloomy, grainy photo suggests otherwise - but we'll take Mother and Bee's word for it! When you send this postcard, will your message match the mood of the image, or insist everything's great?
The image of the original back is shown here for historical interest only. Your postcard will arrive with a restored blank back, ready for you to pen your own message to a friend or family member.
